Our Work
What do we do?
Neutering
The most important part of our work is to catch and neuter stray cats. We find them in towns, holiday resorts and farms etc all over the island. Over 4000 have been neutered since October 1999.
Caring
Sick cats are also treated and cared for. No cat is ever put to sleep unless it has no chance of surviving or has no quality of life. Nothing is left to chance, we always do a blood test in the case of suspected problems such as leukaemia. We are now also doing quite a lot of dental work on cats to improve their quality of life.
Feeding
We feed cats all over the island, as many as 400 in the winter months! We have automatic feeders in some places and the cats get dried food and water.
We also provide some of the dried food for local people to feed the street cats that they look after.
How do we fund this work?
All our funding comes from donations, sponsorship, the sale of greetings cards and gifts and a German charity which kindly funds some of the neutering and pays about a quarter of the food bill.
A donation no matter how small would really help us, here's how
